Who I Am
My real name is Emily, but I go by a few other pseudonyms, including Katherine Summers, Katherine Markov and Darah Deschain. I live in a small city in Scotland where I work in customer service by day and as a creative genius by night.

What I Do
Primarily, I paint. I am a 2D digital artist. I have always painted for as long as I can remember, possibly because it's a neat solo activity that's quiet and meant my parents didn't need to keep a close eye on me. Jostling for first place is my creative writing. I love to write, and just like painting, I've been doing it since the day my parents got a now ancient first home computer. That thing was massive, and heavy and an ugly egg shell colour, but every day I would rush upstairs and start clacking away at the filthy keyboard writing books and short stories about dragons and vampires and everything else my wild child/teen imagination could handle. I write my own original fiction as well as fan fiction. So that's who I am - author/illustrator extraordinaire.

Previous Work
I studied digital art at university and learned nothing. Luckily for me, I am always challenging myself to learn and produce. I've released a short story and two novella's on amazon, which you can look at here. The covers are all my own as well. During uni, I worked on a few projects that didn't really amount to much - but if you are curious, you can see my website here. All this is great for the curious - but I'm always looking forward. I tend not to have too much attachment to my previous work as I am too excited creating the next big thing!

My Hobbies
When I'm not working answering phones, glued to microsoft word or getting my photoshop fix, I spent my time reading, playing video games and watching online videos. Right now, I'm really excited about some new RPG's that have been released, including Breath of the Wild and I am Satsuna (can you tell that I'm the proud owner of a brand new Nintendo Switch?). The media I consume heavily influences the art that I make, which is probably why I'm currently working on Memoria; A Legend of Zelda fan fiction.
